Introduction to Ayurveda

Come and explore the ancient healing practice of Ayurveda. Ayur-veda means the ‘science of life’ and is the oldest holistic healing system, established in India 5000 years ago. It seeks to re-establish harmony between all aspects of a persons life. Ayurveda is based on the 5 elements: If you are Vata dosha, you have more of the ether and air qualities heightened in you, if you are Pitta it will be fire and water, and if you are Kapha it will be earth and water. Through this introduction, you will become more familiar with your dosha and learn many simple techniques to help you in balance your constitution naturally. Ayurveda uses herbs, diet, habit and lifestyle alterations like yoga and meditation practices, colors and more to help bring you to your natural and personal state of well being.
